Entrecard Error

Everyday, I like to drop a card to my fave blogs. But something terribly happened, I thought this will not last in a week and up to know the error is still there. I already informed Entrecard administrator through the forums and I am waiting for their quick solution to this error.

As far as I can remember, I never reached 300 drops on a single day. Clearing my browser's cache did not yield the solution I am expecting. I do tried installing 2 browsers and it seems they didn't work also. Is this some kind of a automatic generating machine? Let's find out.

Your Neighbors

If you are on shared hosting plan, chances are you may have a bad neighbor. What do I mean?

Aside from your site hosted on a single IP address, there might some squeeze page of some affiliate programs or worst adult websites residing on the very server your site may have. Is this a problem? It may or may not?

SEO Concern.

Search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) increase a web site's rank based on the number of links pointing towards the web site. Anybody can buy a lot of domain name, host it on a same server and interlink it. Nowadays, search engines frowned on this technique. You can read this guide in order to avoid some penalty, if ever your site has so many neighbors or you are attempting to interlink all your websites.

The tool.

If you want to know who are your neighbors. Just check this tool. On the form field, enter your domain name without the http://www. and it will highlight some websites in red. These sites might have adult contents.

What it does?

Data is gathered from search engine results, which are not guaranteed to be complete. Knowing the other web sites hosted on a web server is important from both an SEO and web filtering perspective, particularly for those on shared web hosting plans.

If you get some bucks out there, you can purchase dedicated IP's for your site. Or you can host it on a dedicated server, it means fewer neighbors. Who knows it may of great help to your SEO campaign.

I was really surprised to received an email informing me that I won a Free Lottery held supposed to be in London. Wow, its very nice if this was really true. But one thing is wrong with the email. It specify to contact a certain Mrs. Stephen Williams. Now, I wonder if Stephen was a girl. I might be wrong, Stephen might be a marketing girl and this is the first time I heard such named to a girl. I never replied to this email, since I was very cautious ever since I received a Paypal Phising email asking for my password etc.

In the long run, this kind of email has been going on for quite sometime now. Let us be very vigilant with this opportunistic marketing people.
