Can I Use One Wireless-g Adapter For Two Networks Without Buying Or Using A Cable On An Ad-hoc?

I have a problem me an my brother want to get online at the same time but we have two desktops with only one usb wireless g adapter i would like to know if there is a way to split it one for my internet and one for an ad-hoc please help.
