Devil’s Chase is tougher — and more rewarding — than it looks (The Salem Gazette)

Truth be told, the Devil’s Chase wasn’t the first competitive race I took part in. As a freshman at Salem High School I was part of the Northeast Conference Co-Champion Indoor track team. However, as I quickly learned last Saturday, a 50-yard dash in a high school track meet is much different than a 6.66-mile road race through Salem on Halloween day.
