Does anyone really know how to do internet marketing for affiliate programs?

Does anyone know how to do internet marketing for affiliate programs? She recently joined Linkshare, but I have no website. I want to promote sites merchants LinkSharesans a website of mine. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, Regards, Darryl
