Generate Traffic with this Firefox Plugin.
RefControl – Obviously, this will only work on Firefox, if you are not using Firefox, get it first. This plugin will allow you to overwrite the referer url of your browser normally sends to webpages with whatever you want. You can download it here.
How does it work?
When you are visiting a website, chances are every tiny pieces of information is log. This will include the page where you came from. Some webmasters, will try to look for any unfamiliar sites in Referer log, this is to know where the traffic came from. With RefControl, you can specify any website or third party site as your referer. This could be useful to those who are into affiliate marketing, promoting affiliate products. This is sometimes called, Faking the Referer or Referer Bombing.
