What Is The Difference Between Ad-hoc Wireless Networks And Wireless Networks Based On Access Points?

usually the two types are referred to as Ad-hoc or Infrastructure. Ad-hoc wireless networks are peer-to-peer networks based on the various wireless computers on the network passing the information between themselves without the use of a router or access point. Infrastructure wireless networks use a router or access point to manage the connection.
